"영국 아드만 스튜디오의 작품 세계에 관한 연구-‘웰레스 앤 그로밋’과 ‘치킨런’을 중심으로- A study of the Aardman Studio's work in U.K-Focused on 'Wallace & Gromit' and 'Chicken run'- The genre of animation is variety such as sell animation, stop motion animation, paper animation, silhouette animation and digital animation. Among theses animations, clay animation is that making character with clay using viscosity, and then taking photographs of characters which have changed the shape little by little. The clay animation has less distinguished looking compare with popular sell animation or digital animation which is focused on today. However, it has familiarity and kindness that the others do not have. It may be the reason of its material characteristic. This clay animation has started to known by American animator Will Vilton, and becoming more popular and commercial by British Animation studio Aaardam. Especially, and are the best well-known clay animation of Aardman studio with its explosive popularity around the world. This research talks about the basic meaning and the history of clay animation, and shows the history of the Aardman studio. Then it discusses and analyzes about Aardman syudio's work focused on the and the . This study was written with the hope that to understand the basic knowledge of clay animation, and to give a foundation to apply into our clay animation situation.
