From Middle Age architecture of southern 2 Bocho provinces around Yamaguchi, there have been found many distinctive details when compared with other regions. The majority of its distinctive features appeared and spread during the latter half of the Muromachi period. Therefore the uniqueness of Suo architecture in the latter half of Ouchi clan can be recognized. Especially Fudouin-Kondo is the typical architecture of the end of Ouchi period which displays fully the distinctive features of Yamaguchi such as some characteristics of Yamaguchi with Zen denomination or development of remarkable detail designs.
